I work in a pendulum-like manner between abstraction and figuration, exploring painting as a medium that integrates the material, the narrative, and the gesture that constructs it. This gesture in the repeated and automated stroke becomes a physical and performative act that connects directly with the body: my body as a tool of production and the bodies that appear and disappear in the work. This concern with the stroke also led me to resort to other materials when I see it necessary, such as ceramics, other supports, or the structure of the screen. These explorations seek to interrupt the preconfigured images that saturate digital media, proposing new forms of visual and narrative representation. As a gesture of experimentation, my work does not respond to a linear method, but rather, through these explorations and searches, I attempt to redefine the final result.
