“Diálogos en color” is a collage project by Iván Barrera that delves into absurdity, pop culture, and erotism. Color itself becomes a restless presence -an element of shifting meaning, always in conversation with the images around. The pieces emerge from unlikely encounters: images torn from elsewhere, brought together with humor, irony, and a trace of the absurd. By juxtaposing the banal with the solemn, the pop with the conceptual, the works unsettle rational readings for unexpected interpretations -challenging imposed values through cutouts drawn from vintage pictures and magazines.
