This piece belongs to the series El Principio de Todo (The Beginning of Everything), a body of work that emerged from an interrupted start. While developing another series, the process was constantly interrupted: the piece would fall, break, or fail to progress beyond its base. Instead of insisting on the final result, I decided to stop and observe that first gesture, that beginning. The shape symbolically refers to the navel of the world: a point of origin, connection, and possibility. Thus, what seemed like an unfinished process became the very center of the work. The series celebrates the beginning as fertile territory, where everything is yet to happen.
